Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) does not ask for or store your personal information. The site displays advertising served by Google, which uses cookies and similar technologies as described below.
1. Information We Collect
The timer, breathing pacer, and reflection tools do not collect personal information. There are no accounts or sign-in, and we do not run our own analytics or tracking tools. Advertising and font services provided by third parties may collect certain information when you visit the site, as described in sections 4 and 5.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
To save you from re-entering your choices, Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) stores your preferences in your browser’s local storage. These include session length, bell sound, bell volume, number of bells, interval settings, and color theme. This information remains on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it contains no personal information. You may erase it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows may not retain it.
3. Device Features
- Audio: Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) plays bell sounds through your device. It does not access your microphone.
- Screen wake lock: During a session, Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) may ask your browser to keep the screen awake. This request is handled entirely on your device and shares no data.
4. Third-Party Services
Loading and using the page involves services operated by others:
- Google AdSense: This site displays advertisements served by Google. See section 5 for details.
- Google Fonts: The Inter typeface is loaded from Google. As a result, your browser contacts Google’s servers, and Google receives standard request information such as your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Page hosting: The page is delivered by a web hosting provider, which may process routine technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the page and maintain security, in accordance with its own policies.
- Ko-fi and other external links: The Donations button and the links on the About page open external websites with their own privacy practices. If you make a contribution through Ko-fi, Ko-fi processes the transaction and your payment details. Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) does not receive or store them.
5. Advertising and Cookies
This site is supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Google and its partners may also use device identifiers and your IP address to deliver and measure ads.

Your choices. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland may be shown a consent message before personalized ads are served.
6. Children’s Privacy
Meditation Timer (mindfuljoy.app) is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. The tools themselves collect no personal information. Advertising served by Google may use cookies, as described in section 5.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
